Tricia Helyar Architect

This alteration was designed to sit sympathetically with the original Colonial Revivalist house.

There were minimal changes made to the original dwelling with the existing bedroom retained and the existing bathroom becoming an ensuite.
The existing main corridor was extended to link to the new part of the building, The addition housed an open plan kitchen/family room open to the rear garden, bath laundry and loft guest bedroom/study.

The new kitchen/family room is orientated to achieve a solar access, using pergolas and roofed verandahs for shading. There are a number of doors dividing the house for the purposes of both heat and noise.
