The existing dwelling was a three bedroom 1930's brick house. The bedrooms were of good size, but the kitchen and living areas were quite small and the laundry was only accessed externally.
Within this alteration the original living area was increased to almost double its size, with the existing windows reused to maintain the character of the space. To the rear an existing small semi-circular sunroom was removed and a kitchen / family room added on the eastern side, with a bedroom with en-suite and robe on the west. The existing kitchen was converted into a laundry and storage area.
