Built at the time of federation, this large Edwardian semi-detached dwelling had generous living, dining and bedrooms but was lacking an appropriately sized kitchen/family room.
This alteration removed the small series of rooms at the rear of the dwelling to provide a modern living space. The kitchen, bathroom, television room and stairs to the rear garden were demolished. A new kitchen/family room was built with the stairs relocated, leading down to a new laundry and additional bedroom, linking the house with the rear garden.
The existing garage roof was removed and replaced with a flat deck, doubling the size of the rear garden.
