Tricia Helyar Architect
Whaling Road

Built in the 1970’s, this apartment was due for a complete renovation. Space and light was increased by removing unnecessary walls and increasing storage in built in furniture.

The kitchen walls were removed to open up the apartment and glass panels and doors allow for filtered light to enter the internal bathroom. The washing machine and dryer were relocated in a cupboard and the existing laundry refurbished as a walk-in-robe.

Traditional curtains were removed and replaced with blinds, cutting the heat loading while still maintaining access to the view.
